Amanda Snow, MSN, PMHNP-BC



Ms. Snow brings with her a great understanding of medical surgical and psychiatric knowledge. From 1996-2000 she attended Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana, graduating Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science and Arts in Psychology and English. Thereafter, from 2000-2004, she was a Case Manager at Peninsula Covenant Psychiatric Hospital, a thirty-six in-patient psychiatric bed hospital and over three hundred fifty-five outpatient patients. Ms. Snow was responsible for over thirty-two patients either out or inpatient, over five counties, and three contacts per month. In November 2004, she enlisted in the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman. Between the years of 2005 and 2006, she served as a family practice corpsman. In December 2005, she was selected to return to school to complete a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing under the Medical Enlisted Commissioning Program. In May of 2009 she graduated Cum Laude from University of Rhode Island and received her commission as an Ensign in the United States Navy Nurse Corps. Upon commissioning, Ensign Snow was assigned to Naval Hospital at Camp Lejeune between 2009 to June 2013, where she served as both a staff nurse on MSW (Medical Surgical Ward), Mother Baby, and 4Alpha Psychiatric Inpatient unit. Ms. Snow served at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth Inpatient Mental Health floor as division officer were she was responsible for a range of psychiatric patients from Schizophrenia to Depression. Ms. Snow retired from the Navy and in August 2018 graduated Walden University with her Masters of Science in Nursing in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program. In November 2018 Ms. Snow took and passed her boards allowing her to be board certified to practice as a license Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Ms. Snow currently works for Fairfield Psychological Associates as a PMHNP across the lifespan and sees children from five to 17 and adults with a range of mental illnesses.
